I create a Horizontal & Vertical guide… both are exactly placed at the 500 pixel mark. I am sure of this by checking the x & y boxes up top. I then try to drag the ruler reset tool to set the zero point directly in the center. Convert between horizontal and vertical guide. Alt-drag guide. Option-drag guide. Release guide.
