One thing I noticed, at least it appears so, is that the neck of the large zip-top shop bag seems straighter than the open-top shop bag. Specs state that the ZTSB also has another 1.5 inches of height. It could be that TB slightly straightened out the neck opening to allow the zipper to function, thus adding the bonus height..
